Welcome to the UDL Toolkit
This self-guided collection brings together a curated set of core resources to help you integrate Universal Design for Learning (UDL) into your teaching or facilitation. Whether you're working in early childhood education, K–12 schools, post-secondary education, or community-based learning environments, this guide offers a flexible path through three key steps: Learn, Design, and Assess and Reflect.
We’ve intentionally designed this guide to provide a strong foundation without being overwhelming. It’s not an exhaustive list, many additional UDL resources exist online based on your specific needs, but this collection offers a clear and supportive starting point.
Each step includes a choice board of resources to reflect UDL in action: you can choose the materials, formats, and depth of engagement that work best for your goals and time. This approach not only supports your own learning but models the kind of flexible, student-centred planning that UDL encourages.
The guide begins by grounding you in the core ideas of UDL, then moves into designing inclusive learning experiences, and finally encourages assessment and reflection on your practice. We hope you find it helpful as you work toward more inclusive and accessible learning environments.
