Accessibility Statement

We developed the UDL Community of Practice website with a commitment to accessibility, inclusion, and usability for all visitors.

The accessibility of this website has been considered in alignment with the WCAG 2.1 Guidelines at Level AA. We have taken care to use accessible fonts, clear contrast ratios, and descriptive alt text for images where possible. Pages are designed for screen reader compatibility and keyboard navigation.

To the best of our abilities, we have addressed known accessibility issues during the development process. However, we recognize that some limitations may persist.

Known accessibility issues:

  • Some embedded third-party content (e.g., YouTube videos or external modules) may not have accurate closed captions or transcripts.

  • Visual contrast in certain header sections may be suboptimal depending on screen brightness and device type.

  • Interactive features (such as sliders or tabbed content) may not be fully optimized for all assistive technologies.

We are committed to ongoing improvement and welcome feedback from users. If you encounter a barrier or would like to suggest an accessibility improvement, please contact us at udlcop@mun.ca.

We acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island. In Newfoundland and Labrador, this includes the ancestral territory of the Beothuk and the homelands of the Mi’kmaq, Innu, Inuit, and Métis. We honour their histories and ongoing relationships to these lands.
