Practical Sessions for Inclusive Teaching and Learning

The Community of Practice hosts regular events that explore key topics in Universal Design for Learning. Each session is shaped around a theme suggested by members and creates space for dialogue, reflection, and practical insight.

Events are open to everyone, educators, students, and community members, and are offered in a hybrid format (in person and via Microsoft Teams) to support broad participation. Most events are recorded and shared afterward so you can engage at a time that works for you.

Facilitation varies by session and may include Community of Practice members or invited guests, depending on interest and expertise. Whether you're just getting started with UDL or looking to go deeper, we invite you to join us.

Contribute to an Event

We welcome contributions from anyone interested in inclusive teaching and learning. You can lead a session on your own or team up with a co-facilitator. If you’d like support integrating UDL into your topic, we can match you with a CoP member experienced in UDL practice. It’s a great way to share your ideas and learn in community.

Visit our Collaborate page to suggest a session topic or express interest in facilitating. You’ll find a short form with space to share your ideas, ask questions, or request support. We’d love to hear from you.

We acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island. In Newfoundland and Labrador, this includes the ancestral territory of the Beothuk and the homelands of the Mi’kmaq, Innu, Inuit, and Métis. We honour their histories and ongoing relationships to these lands.
