About the event

This presentation will give a summary of incorporating some features of UDL in physics labs for first year students in university. In traditional labs all instructions have been available in writing only and all assessment was done by grading written lab reports. In this project, students have been provided with alternate means of instruction (videos and demonstration setups) before and during each experiment. Students have also been given alternate methods of evaluation during the lab period.

We acknowledge that our work takes place on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of Indigenous Peoples across Turtle Island. In Newfoundland and Labrador, this includes the ancestral territory of the Beothuk and the homelands of the Mi’kmaq, Innu, Inuit, and Métis. We honour their histories and ongoing relationships to these lands.
